Albergo Locanda Alambra is at Via XX Settembre 36, interior 8, right in the centre of Genoa. Via XX Settembre, opened in 1896, is one of the city's shopping streets, with arcades and Venetian-style mosaic pavements towards De Ferrari, Liberty-style buildings and the Mercato Orientale food market. The piazza is about 200 metres away and De Ferrari metro station 150.

From Cristoforo Colombo airport, the AMT Volabus takes about half an hour and, heading into the centre, stops on Via XX Settembre near De Ferrari. You need a paid Met Daily ticket, which you can also buy on board with a contactless card; the route changed in August 2026, so check the current stops. Alternatively, the Genova Airlink shuttle takes about five minutes to Sestri Ponente Aeroporto station, where trains run to Brignole. A taxi takes around 20 to 25 minutes.
From Genova Brignole it is about 800 metres, roughly ten minutes' walk along Via XX Settembre, or a single metro stop. From Genova Principe the metro reaches De Ferrari at the fourth stop. Drivers can use the staffed car parks in the centre, such as Piccapietra and City Park Piazza Dante.

Piazza De Ferrari is overlooked by the Teatro Carlo Felice, opened in 1828 and reopened in 1991 after being rebuilt; Palazzo Ducale is 300 metres away. Porta Soprana is about 200 metres off and Piazza San Lorenzo, with the cathedral and the Treasury Museum, home to the Sacro Catino, 450.
About 600 metres away, Via Garibaldi and the Strada Nuova Museums begin, with Palazzo Rosso and Palazzo Doria Tursi: the Strade Nuove and the Palazzi dei Rolli have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2006. The Aquarium, 900 metres away, takes about two and a half hours, and booking a time slot is wise at weekends. For the sea, Punta Vagno is 1.7 km away and Boccadasse 3.5 km.
